In fact, it's been moderate, isolated heavy rain here (only a few miles away)
since around midnight: at 06Z we had accumulated ~11mm (electronic), and
currently (0830Z), we're up to 22 mm (electronic).

I'll be doing the check-gauge in about half-an-hour.

The reported hourly rainfall totals from Hurn show a "trace" in every hour from
00z to 06z.
