But its still August

Just been out for me first twilight walk in some time and I'd swear
those autumn leaves are well ahead of schedule, In recent years I
remember premature browning due to drought, here in the SE, but this
summer we've had plenty of watering. Anyone else feel they're a tad
early?

Silver Birch yellow leaves falling gently this afternoon with no breeze.
Enough on the lawn for me to think it was odd as it has been fairly wet
here.
