After a few cool(ish), cloudy(ish) and showery days, things have been
getting better in what is turning out to be quite an unusually
lacklustre September when compared to previous years.
A max of 19.1°C today after an overnight low of 13.1°C, and 8.5 hours of
sunshine, and no rain.
Rain has fallen on 15 out of the last 22 days, bringing the total so far
to 47.3 mm.
Sunshine this month has been struggling, now up to 110 hours and well
behind last year's amount at this date.
Past September sunshine:
2010 = 193 hours
2009 = 185 hours
2008 = 144 hours
2007 = 187 hours
But despite the relative dullness of this month, it has been warm with a
mean temperature of 15.8°C, though this has been mainly due to the
warmth of the nights rather than the days.
A calm, clear evening.
(20:05), 13.3°C, RH 77%, DP 7.8°C, 1021 hPa, Wind calm.
