Default Drought over in SE?

Been talking to my nocturnal PhD friends(!) and they can confirm that at
2am it was indeed drizzling slightly. I guess by 4am enough may have
fallen to tip the bucket (possibly if the bucket wasn't empty after dew,
etc.)

Is 16 days a significantly long amount of time to go without rain at
this time of year?
