It's probably me just going on a gut feeling but looking at:

I would have expected some more significant cooling by the time we start
October - only a few areas showing sub-zero levels.
Could be a record warm night here for Sept 29th. (Porthcawl S. Wales)
currently 19.7C

Please don't complain for a couple more days. I am, at long last, making
hay. I thought my chances had gone for this year till this welcome spell.
My minimum temperature was 16.7 C last night, currently 19.5 C with a nice
drying southerly breeze. :-)

Who is complaining?

Oh, they weren't? Sorry, I was just getting my view in before the
complaining started. I know James wouldn't, by the way.
No complaints indeed - specially with an on-shore breeze keeping things
just right!
Cheers
