Fine Autumn day ahead!

Yes, a glorious day in Surrey, as it was yesterday (Friday).

Not for the first time, I was annoyed that the "Weather around the UK"
feature in today's Telegraph didn't show anywhere as being "sunny"
yesterday. Places were generally shown as "p/cloudy", which presumably
means "partly cloudy". That was so even for "London", which was shown as
having had 9.7 hours of sunshine. From the times of sunrise and sunset,
the maximum possible hours of sunshine would only be about an hour more.
I think they use an arbitrary cut-off of 10 hours, and only record
"sunny" for values of at least that. That's ludicrous for this time of
the year.
