Interesting that the forecast on the page mentioned the incursion
of rain or freezing rain into the SE for a while.
And IIRC the forecast was correct for my part of Surrey. There was
drizzle in the morning with a temperature of about 1C, By the afternoon
it was dry and by mid-afternoon the temperature had dipped below
freezing again.
I can't remember much about recent weather events, but I can remember a
lot of the 1962-3 winter in some detail.
