anyone recommend any other forums or forum threads which are similarly
enthusiastic snow watches?

But though their forum is moderated, there's still a lot of dross there
(or at least there was the last time that I looked, a couple of years
ago).
Is it possible to set up a killfile with your newsreader? If so, you
might be able to filter out most of the posters here whom you find
annoying (though there's one who continually morphs his identity,
sadly).
