[WR]Dublin - Rain 90mm 24hr Casement Aerodrome!

Over the past 24 hours 87mm has fallen, bringing the total so far this month
to 157mm - more than double the monthly average and four times more than
fell in the entire month of October last year.
Over one month's worth of rain has fallen in the past 24 hours at Casement
Aerodrome according to the Met Office. 90mm today alone according to Irish
Met Office.

Dublin City Manager John Tierney has declared the situation a major
emergency.
Flooded roads and poor visibility have caused traffic problems for both
motorists and commuters.
Dublin Fire Brigade has half of its fleet of fire appliances out dealing
with flooding in Dublin city.
A spokesman said they are expecting an unusually high tide around 10pm,
which may add to difficulties.
There are reports that the Dodder and Camac rivers are overflowing.
