At last it actually *is* a little colder....... But only to somewhere
around average temperatures. It's in no way *actually* particularly
cold - though I agree that the weather is more exciting, as it is very
typical UK Atlantic, zonal weather.
You really have to qualify this to a "dynamical" cold westerly Will.
The transition to this regime (well flagged by the models 12/13 days
ago, has produced above and well above average temperatures since the
"cold" westerly arrived before the weekend. *))
