Out with the dog earlier this evening, and lo and behold, there was a lorry
trundling up the hill towards the bus terminus with all its orange lights
flashing, and strange rattling sounds emanating from its rear end. A
gritter!!! A nice sight to say the least, because for the last two winters
they never came onto the estate, such that last year we had no bus service
up here for almost three weeks because the buses couldn't get up the hill.
So winter is most definitely on its way. That should please a certain Eskimo
currently resident in in the south-west of this fair isle.
