Since Will has stopped issuing his dire weather warnings the weather has
definitely turned milder. Not only has it been the longest'suckers gap' in
history, but Dawlish is now looking for High pressure to establish itself
over southern Britain, which will probably result in the 'warmest Spring in
history'.
This has all got to stop ! ,so come on Will ,examine your runes again, get
out your prayer mat ,and start chopping those logs again.

I have been away Ron!
LOL

Funnily enough I fancy the weather will change by mid-month (January). There
is a minor stratospheric warming event underway, not yet in evidence below
30 hPa though, so we will have to see how that progresses, if it continues
it will slow down the westerlies. There are also some similarities to winter
1946/47. Also the fantasy charts (T+192 onward) from GFS and ensembles show
a downward trend in temperatures and potential cold scenarios. There is a
lot of winter left and I fully expect to make good use of my new sledge. No
need for prayer mats yet LOL.

Ciao,

Eskimo Will
