After no measurable precipitation for the first 15 days of this month,
yesterday's heavy rain produced 46.3 mm for the 24 hours till 0900 this
morning. This is my wettest day this year and one of the rare occasions
where I have measured more than fell on the Haytor observatory!
The snow earlier dragged the min temp down to 1.0C, currently 4.0C, cloudy
but brightening up.

The Exeter area seem particularly wet.
No really heavy rain here, just wet & miserable. Total for 24 hours to 09:00
12.8mm.
We were sat in the mild drizzly air much of the time, with the main rain
band stuck just to the NE.
