The crocus in our garden are all flowering profusely at the moment. The
wife noted the first one on 31st December. Unusually, the snowdrops
flowered a couple of weeks after the crocus this year.

Bernard,

I noticed next door's bright yellow crocuses were in flower this morning and
that's quite early by my reckoning.

Along the road from where I live is a place called Backhouse Park and it is
well known in and around these parts for the great swathes of crocuses that
herald the Spring. I've checked the dates on two photographs I've taken when
they are at their best, one last year and the other, the year before. Last
year's photograph was taken on 2 March and the year before was on 17 March.
It will be interesting to see whether the relatively mild winter has any
influence with regards to this year's display.

Regards... David Allan.

.... -do- here; first crocus out this AM ... a blowy, but fine day.

Martin.
