Well, quite astonishing really. Phil Hammond on the BBC Web weather
really unsure what is going to happen at T+72 hours. I sensed a doubt
that the mild air is even going to reach the SE, and he mentioned the
cold here lasting well into next week.

In fact tonights Northwood chart:

doesnt have the front reaching the SE.

Of more interest, at even closer timescale is the Low in the North Sea
which could bring snow to E areas on Friday evening
