I'd love to share your sadness, Will, but any chance of me watching my
garden's pristine layer of snow melt away disappeared at 6am on Sunday
morning when my two excited daughters ran out there to build a
snowman!
For the purposes of weather observations I'm using the vacant
neighbouring house's garden. At 9am this morning still a full cover
though now down to a sugary 5cm. Yesterday it was 9.5cm, the day
before 15cm! With the return of the continental air the remaining
slush has frozen and I now expect it to last till the end of the week
