I can't remember the near continent being quite so cold as it

Zonality seems to be struggling to establish itself, and I doubt the
UKMO medium range forcast will be correct.

Then there's this northerly scenario that the models keep thowing into
the ring.

Of course we could just stay on the edge of the action, but the SE in
the cold for sometime to come.

Wonder if Will has any new thoughts?

Temperature dropping like a stone, which is unusual given the NE wind
with shallow cumulus coming off the North Sea.

Hello Keith

Yes I found it remarkable coming out of a centrally heated building
into sunshine to find just how cold it was, when visually through my
office window it all looked so bright and balmy. I looked at our car
park thermometer and couldn't believe it was show 0 C. As I drive home
my car therm showed zero and on getting home the garden thermometer
was -2c. We only have some patches of snow hanging around here in SE
London and it seems such a waste of cold frigid air with no snow to
defend. I know there was a chance of snow showers tonight forecast
yesterday and some heavy ones if they came off would settle with ease.

But your main point being just how frigid the continental air that's
on our doorstep is; I can only concur. It's bleedin' freezing
