Increasingly, this Newsgroup has become unrecognisable from the one I
first remember discovering over 10 years ago, and we're all the poorer
for that.

Although I've struggled to resist it, I've become thoroughly fed-up
with the raw unpleasantness that some posts to this Group have
contained, of late. They're introverted, boring, narrow-minded,
disrespectful and nasty, and are bloody awful to have to wade through
but they are difficult to avoid as they often pop up in the most
unlikely places. What's worse, they don't add one iota to the sum of
knowledge, nor are they in the spirit of sensible discussion which I
always thought this Group was set-up to promote.

To those who take delight in all this: Go and fight your petty spats
somewhere else. I've neither the time or patience to listen to them
any longer.
