.... (04/0930Z) Rain began here in the early hours, and we were up to 5
mm by 06Z, then solid moderate intensity (brief heavy intensity)
thereafter brought the total to 11.1 mm in standard gauge at 0900GMT.
Still raining - mostly moderate, though we've just had a very brief
heavy spell - another 1.5 mm: some signs of embedded line convection
looking at the radarnet.

The upper trough is being extended / sharpened as the cold air digs in
to our west, so this surface feature is going to develop a bit more and
slow down - quite a brisk northerly flow developing on its western flank
too ....
