.... rain measured in standard/check gauge at 1500Z = 13.3 mm (since
04/09Z); together with the 11.1 mm measured at 09Z, that gives an
'event' total of 24.4 mm (split across the two rain-days).

We had the same rainfall total split across 12/13 December last year,
but to find something markedly higher, we go back to 25/26th October
last year, when we had 44.4 mm

A couple of showers since 1520Z, otherwise a reasonable afternoon now.
