(Dyce) 15.3°C.

It's not all that far between High Wycombe and St James's Park, so
that's quite a contrast in temperature.

The St James Park maximum temperature on Friday was only 10.1C. The
apparent maximum of 15.0C arises because that was the temperature at
1800 GMT on Thursday evening following the warmth earlier that
afternoon.

Dick, I realise that if a 24 hour period is used to define Tmax then some
unexpected figures can emerge, but are you sure that the 15C figure is not a
misprint? I thought that the "day" defining the Tmax figures in the Colin's
tinyurl reference to the Met Office website is the period 0900-2100hrs.
(and a Tmax of 10C is quoted for St James Park)

Please let me know if it is not so simple!
