Default scandi High

GFS gives a long run of westerlies - Northwest winds but signs of a change
during the end of the 2 week period as a blocking type develops and High
pressure migrating towards scandinavia. I know it's a long time in the
future and into the realms of fantasy, but we have not seen a real high
during the winter over this area for a number of years.
waxwings have been observed in their thousands this year in some parts of
the UK. Do they know something we don't? The winter of 1947 was preceded
by a very wet August too!
