The 40 odd mm we've had this month has pushed the total for this year up to
128mm.

How come you've escaped the hose pipe ban? I though everywhere south and
east of us were added to the list last month.

Anglian Water have now opened negotiations with Severn Trent to pump water
from them to us this summer. Mainly using the rivers, there is one short
section of canal involved too.
