Just watched Nick Miller on the BBC news and he certainly does seem to be stressing the models forecast of showers and thunderstorms over Mid Devon and the SW of England later this afternoon, but at the moment convection is limited with unbroken sunshine all morning here. Temperature here now 14..9°C after a frost this morning -0.6°C

It may be right but it does look rather pessimistic with limited convection and just some patches of ci and cs.

Almost a repeat of yesterday but a little cooler (yesterdays max 16.7° at Bradninch)

======================

Showers are developing rapidly over Dartmoor early afternoon
(thunderstorms likely) and there are plenty over Cornwall slowly
advecting ENE'wards.

Stephen.

A narrow belt of steady rain, rather than showers, crossed west
Cornwall very slowly early/mid morning. Rain in Penzance 08:30 until
10:00. Since 10:30 increasing amounts of sunshine & light winds. A
very nice afternoon, but very different in mid Cornwall where the rain
has persisted and become heavier. The dark clouds up the County very
evident as I had a drink on the prom this afternoon.

Been lovely out on Scilly since 09:00 http://www.scillyman.co.uk/Web_Cam.html
