Default Cornish Gale

Wow, what a difference to yesterday, which was a pleasant day on the
tip of Cornwall. The MetO site showed Camborne as the sunniest place
in the SW, and Culdrose as the warmest in the UK (13.2C) In fact it
reached 14.4C in Penzance sunny spells, probably warmer still on west
facing LIzard coves. This made it the 3rd warmest day of April, which
says a lot about the coolness of of the month, my 1st ever April to
fail to reach 15C.

Today @ 09:00 it was 6.0C with a F6-7 NE wind & heavy rain. It's
already gusted to 57kn at St. Ives, mean speed of 40mph (F8) at
Culdrose. Luckily, for St. Ives in particularly, small tides.

It is thoroughly awful out there.
