Precipitation started about an hour ago in the form of a highly

Aha - my prediction of snow somewhere not impossible then. It was 5-6C
here last night with strong winds and heavy rain. Just about stopping now
after 25mm for the event. Accurate prediction by the Met Office.
The ice pellets stopped soon after I posted that, but I've just been
out and overheard somebody saying that he'd heard there was snow
somewhere. Conditions on the higher routes must be 'interesting'.
Temp 3.4C. It really is vile out there.
The vast majority of winter days aren't this unpleasant to be
'out & about' in.
There's no snow to be seen on the Cat & Fiddle webcam (515m a.s.l.), just lots
of water. I agree, Col, that it really is a dreadful day. Not surprisingly,
there's been no walkers on the footpath past our house this morning :-)
