Torrential rain and floods in Essex.

The North of the region has had torrential rain last evening and through
the night leading to road closures and severe flooding with several
rivers bursting their banks. This of course was an area severely

alone!
Only 3mm here in the South of the County though.

Just 1.5mm in Wanstead. The day before 0.3mm - I completely missed the
deluge that George described in an earlier thread. However, the total
for the past week currently stands at 49.2mm - the conveyour belt of
showers at the end of last week (which missed a lot of areas) and the
weekend's rain being the bulk of this.
