Well I've never known a forecaster come out with a statement like that!
But that's what he said at midday today. No sign of anything summery for
the next two weeks. A bit rash in my opinion because it doesn't take
much of a change at this time of year to get something half decent. He
also said that somewhere in and around the S.E and south Midlands was
likely to get a month's worth of rain tomorrow. Presumably he meant
based on June's figures which is about 45mm. We'll see.

I bl**dy hope so!
I guess Tuesday to Thursday this week will be vaguely passable too,
though no sign of the temperature getting anywhere close to 20C [20C
in June... gasp, whatever next, snow in winter...] before that
goddawful low comes along on Friday, looks almost as bad as the one at
the end of next week.
Sunshine levels shockingly low as well here in Southampton, no
measurements but I'd guess 10 hours on Saturday 9th, 4 hours on Monday
4th, 3 hours on Sat 2nd and 2 hours on Wed 6th - and nothing else at
all IIRC. 2 hrs/day - must be close to the January average!
July to October had better be good to make up for this. Grrr....
