On this note are there any good, free lightning detection sites
that have a good coverage of the Edinburgh area? I'm currently

which is fine (it's free after all) but I was wondering if there
were alternatives.

There's also

Coverage for your area may not be perfect as stations are a bit
sparse there. They provide equipment at cost for anyone wanting to
join the network.

Ah, that's more like it!

I must admit I'd love to get hold of my own Boltek gear, but the cost
is too high for me at the moment. Perhaps in the future.

Perhaps the "cover your area" tab at the blitzortung site might be of
interest?
