According to my radar Edinburgh has had some thunderstorms
today and
some are heading to Glasgow. Rain looks intense. I would
imagine there
will be some flooding tales this evening?

Bit late in responding. We were at the Royal Highland Show, and
just waiting for the Grand Parade, which was delayed by previous
events over-running. Just as the first Clydesdales enetred the
ring, there was a flash followed almost immediately by a clap of
thunder, then several more, then heavy rain. The rest of the
parade was cancelled for safety reasons, and we spent the rest
of the afternoon dodging floods on the roadways. We were
supposed to be participating in a BBC Radio Scotland recording
session in the evening, but that was cancelled too.
