Default [WR] Wirral 25th December 2004

Here in North Staffordshire its been snowing for a few hours now with a few
CMs already on the ground. The showers have been coming straight down the
cheshire gap. Should be an interesting night..

Soft hail/hail showers on and off all day with the odd flash of

lightning
but no real snow showers to speak of here.
Possibly the effect of relatively warm Irish sea keeping temperatures
above 0°C.
Current temperature of 3.2°C (1830GMT)

Showers seem to be getting more organised now, turning more increasingly to
snow than hail with a light covering so far.
Could be very interesting inland over the next few hours.
Current temperature 1915 GMT 1.2°C
