I keep looking for glimmers of hope in the models but there is none.
Looks like the coming week is going to be stuck with this low over us
leading to showers and possible afternoon storms. Yesterday showed a
ridge, but this morning it's more of a cyclonic circulation. I just
haven't been able to plan a clear week ahead since March.
I think I need to go to Spain if I want any sunshine this year as this
summer is dire, better start walking now then !

"Weather Home& Abroad"
I predict that Sunday 22nd July will be truly awful.
My reasoning is that this is when Spice London have scheduled their
Godalming walk. They have scheduled this walk four times so far this
year. The first time, back in February, cancelled due to snow. Second
time, first Sunday in March, driving rain and sleet all day, half the
people didn't turn up, one person got into difficulties, utter chaos.
Third time, Jubilee Sunday, we can all remember what the weather was
like then, was cancelled on the basis of the forecasts (although the
weather wasn't as bad here as predicted in the end). The 22nd July is
the rescheduled date. Thankfully I am playing bridge on that date so
will be indoors.
