We've been discussing this sort of thing here, too.

The likes of, oh let's say The Express and their usual rent-a-quote, would have us believe in a country bathed in a 'proper' 'scorching' 'heatwave' with temperatures up 35C. In fact, The Express's front page banner headline today is a simply enormous '95F'.

That story goes on to say that, despite this, August will be a 'washout'. I'm not buying that either. I envisage a relatively anticylonically dominated
August.
