As of 8.30pm it's started pouring down in the Stadium. A blob on the

I thought for piers to not exactly get his deluge, but to predict rai9n so far out from the actual day was amazing in fact stunning. Now in the past I've been as cynical of Piers as anyone but really he's the jammiest man in the world or has really got some method. He's biggest problem is he always predicts in terms of worse , coldest, hottest whereas MO are far more measured.
It's alaso worth mentioneing that MO have hedged their bets on rain for the London area all week, sometims showing rain then sometimes not. It's obvious to me that ukmo are very cocious of amimosity that is building towards them and for all that computing power they couldn't be consistant about rain today wavering between showers and dry depending on which part of their website you looked at. Corbin's forecast of precipitation was stunning, his hyperbole of deluge OTT. But he was far more right from a long way out than MO.
