It's interesting to that the coolest waters in the Med are in the corner
between the Spanish Costa Brava and the Cote d'Azur in the South of France,
I would imagine the traditional 'Mistral' is the cause of this, blowing the
warmer surface waters south and upwelling the colder waters from below.
