Here in S Wales I was expecting a deluge according this morning's
BBC forecasts - but just as happened a couple of weeks ago, the front
has fragmented, with the main rain drifting east over southern and SW
England. I was hoping not to have to water the remaining flower pots today!!

So what was that heavy rain I saw in Cardiff that washed out the
cricket then? Appeared to be raining on and off all day with just a few
overs bowled.

I really don't know - we have had a couple of storms in the last hour,
but as far east as Bridgend the roads have been virtually dry for the
rest of the day. Was there a line of showers I wonder for Cardiff? I
looked at the Met Office radar - going back to 12noon and there was only
one frame where any blue appeared over Cardiff - apart from tonight's
showers.

It doesn't take more than a few spots to stop a cricket match ;-))

cheers
James
