This afternoon I was at the League 2 football match between Wycombe Wanderers and Bristol Rovers. After about ten minutes of the second half a heavy thunderstorm broke overhead with frequent lightning and torrential rain. Visibility was down to only a few hundred metres. There was a short period of hail also. After a few minutes the referee took the players off the pitch and ten minutes later the match was abandoned. There was a lot of standing water on the pitch. This is the second time that I have been at a football match at Adam's Park High Wycombe which has had to be abandoned due to weather. The other occasion was an evening match in October 2007 or 2008 which was abandoned due snow!
Do you get any refund of your ticket money?
Or do they assume that once the game has commenced then refunds are not given?
