Wow, 372.2mm in Penzance up to 09:00 today.

My wettest Summer was 1997 with 394.3mm. That record may remain.

Summer here has not been quite as bad as a bit further up the peninsula, probably down to the prevalent unstable nature, rather than well organised fronts. As a result sunshine at both Camborne & nearby Morvah was 100% of the norm in July (Morvah, 5 miles away 208.3 hours 106.8% norm.) But it has been very wet.

August started well, but has been very dull in the 2nd half. Total rainfall so far 128mm, this compares 236.9mm in 1997.

June was the real shocker sunshine wise, though the rainfall @ 113.4mm was well short of a record.
