It's interesting you mention Ewood Park.

I travelled down to Darwen (near Blackburn) to visit my mother on
Boxing Day - it was just magical.

We all went for a walk above Hoddlesden and I could actually hear the
crowd in Ewood Park when I took the following photos:

The first one is looking north from Pickup Bank towards the village of
Belthorn, with Blackburn to the left in the valley.

The second one is looking west from roughly the same location over
Hoddlesden, Darwen and towards Darwen Tower. The town of Darwen is
completely hidden in the valley just beyond the TV mast.
