The surroundings of Brussels Midi (far left-hand side of the map) look dismal at the best of times - and even more so in the rain. It is nicer where I live on the other side of Brussels ("A" on the map) - but I can confirm that it was pouring down on Friday afternoon here too http://goo.gl/maps/lf8r2
