It was dull with mostly light rain / drizzle in Southampton. Dry in
the morning with signs of blue sky to the NW which I naively expected
to move overhead. Rather miserable but not as bad as those days we had
last week, which were truly awful.
It helped that the weather improved about an hour before sunset.

You might fair better today Nick but looks like they may have yet again
underestimated the extent of the cloud streaming up from France in their
forecast for the Eastern half of the country.
