It's moving through Southern Ireland for sure, but the rain just
doesn't seem to be getting appreciably nearer to me.
The patch of rain over Cumbria certainly doesn't seem to have shifted
for several hours.
It looks like the main problem for you is the rain shadow area caused by
the Welsh mountains. Also, there could be a hint of a wave near the IOM
which has slowed things a little.
