One of the presenters hinted at some colder weather next week. Some
charts indicate the possibility of Northern blocking. Probably nothing
too dramatic and not really surprising as December approaches and we
haven't had any cold snaps so far this Autumn/Winter.
Shame Will's not around at the moment to hype it up ;-)

Looking at the 12z and 18z models tonight Dave I'd say the chart being thrown up for next Monday onwards are pretty amazing.

Well it certainly looks likely to be a lot colder. The 18z may of course
be a very low outlier, we will have to wait and see. Looks like there
will be some wind chill in the S.E based on those charts.

Looks to be more certainty this morning with winds swinging into the
north-east next Tuesday to herald a gradual cooling. Snow looks
unlikely in the south-east though if that pattern locks in I would
think we could see something wintry by Monday 3rd?

GFS 12z Friday 3rd is a case of if you don't like cold and snow - look
away now! 1C max in S.E. Of no real significance though being more than
a week away, although a colder spell looks fairly certain, and can
probably attach unpleasant to that as well!
