Default 2004 was another warm year

In the wider Global field, according to:

2004 will be Globally (preliminary with a few days left at time of report)
the 4th warmest after 2003 (3rd), 2002 (2nd) and 1998 (warmest of all to
date).

I noted it last year about this time and the trend has not changed so, with
a further year of measurement now added, is the rate of warming beginning
to slow?
