I don't have any long-term sunshine records but I suspect that this year will

read what Graham in Weston Conyey has to say at the end of the year. He has
experienced a similarly sunless year.
Just totalled up my rainfall to-date and it is 1223 mm. That makes a
mockery of the fact that I live in one of the drier areas of the SW
where my 'normal' rainfall is somewhere between 700 & 800 mm.
Sunshine is also way down this year with the total so far this year at
1610 hours. If December is cloudy then this year could even beat last
year's miserable total of 1681 hours. And to think, I recorded a
respectable 2019 hours in 2010, despite the dull July & August.
Caveat here is that I live a little nearer the sea now, being 6 miles
down the Otter Valley, and I would expect my new location to have a
slightly sunnier climate.
