Provided the warnings are accurate... They warned us about a couple of inches
of snow earlier in the week, it rained. The week before not a peep when we
got an inch of the stuff, that lightly thawed then froze into sheet ice...

Over here idiots regularly get into trouble on the water or in the bush
and mountains, breaking every commonsense rule along the way.


We have those as well, go walking up onto the fells in trainers, shorts and T
shirt and no map.

I cannot understand how anyone can get so worked up about a warning -
for pity's sake worry about things that matter. Life's too short ...


This is true, I take the warnings with a large pinch of salt as most of the
time they are not much more than a "heads up".
