That set my mind thinking. If there is 1m of rain (1000 mm) in a year that
means that over 1 sq m the total fall will be 1 tonne of water. Therefore over
1 sq km the total amount of water in a year will be 1 million tonnes. That's an
impressive total - or have I got my sums wrong?!
