More of the same today and some pretty impressive sea conditions to go with
it.

It'll be some way short of my wettest year (2000 - 1511.6mm) due to the 1st
5 months only having around 70% of normal rainfall. However it looks set to
be the wettest June-December period in my 22 years of records, the current
wettest (2000 - 1086.4mm) now well in sight.
Plenty of yellow fields now, as the daffodil picking, which started very
early this season, stopped over Christmas. It would be good to have more
sunshine to appreciate the colour. The flowers must really be piling up on
Scilly, Scillonian's in dry dock, the Gry Maritha (the cargo ship) has had
few sailings due to Christmas period & bad weather, the helicopter service
has closed, Skybus can't fly from Land's End as the airfields part
submerged! Even if the flowers got to the mainland only people with good
memories can recall a train service.

I can wait till March for my daffs, no rush, so I won't be buying any
anyway.
Wet and windy here again today on Dartmoor where I have now got 2100mm as an
annual total in sight!
Great stuff.
