"Burnley's game against Leicester was abandoned after 19 minutes because of
torrential rain at Turf Moor.
The conditions had seen the two sides restricted to just one chance between
them in that time.
The Clarets were looking to continue their impressive recent run of five
wins while the Foxes were hoping to end their four-match winless run.
Referee Graham Laws called proceedings to a halt after heavy rainfall made
the pitch unplayable.
Rival managers Steve Cotterill and Craig Levein supported referee Graham
Laws' decision to call Burnley's home match against Leicester when the pitch
became unplayable.
a.. Burnley boss Steve Cotterill:
"It was a wise decision and the referee had my full support.
Leicester boss Craig Levein :
"It was a good decision for it had become a bit of a lottery.
"It was just a matter of time before someone got injured and that is clearly
not an acceptable situation. The referee was right to give it a go but it
became unplayable."
