Fields of Gold here since just before Christmas, this was New Years Day

You don't normally see many fields like this, but the Christmas break has meant a lot of the picking stopped and many of the south facing fields behind Penzance are now yellow. I think it rather brightens up am otherwise bleak time of year.
At least the sun shone briefly on Christmas day
